The idea

Hampton Homes is a home construction and renovation company based in Edmonton, Alberta. Establishing a visual identity and online presence was the next step in growing their business. They needed a strategic partner to help them get off the ground and establish a look and feel that fit their work. My challenge was to make this obviously-talented company shine on the digital stage from scratch. The goal: get people to reach out to Hampton Homes for their next project.

Making it happen

Through initial consultation and research, I helped Hampton Homes hone in on their target markets, and developed a plan to ensure their new website played to their strengths. Our first order of business was to create a brand identity that fit as well. Using their logo sketches, I created several revisions and we collaboratively worked to refine these into an elegant and versatile logo and brand guidelines. Once this was done, I created a landing page so they had something up and running while I worked on the full site.

Knowing we had limited visuals to work with at the start, I developed site copy that focused on Hampton's strengths: Their service, process, and high quality final products. The site took shape with this in mind as well, while prominently featuring the photos of the company's gorgeous craftsmanship.

The results

Hampton Homes' site launched in February 2017. The finished project uses a simple-yet-elegant colour scheme that lets the site's photography really pop. Each page features a strong call-to-action for a risk-free quote, ensuring there's always a clear way to get in touch with Hampton. Visitors always have a next step to take on this site.

The company's logo was developed with flexibility in mind. I provided them with the colour variations and file types needed to use in many places, and has been used on business cards, signage, and vehicle decals to date.

What my client had to say:

When it came time to create a website for my business, I needed professional guidance. After our initial meeting, Dallas was able to take the concept we spoke about and get started. He was creative with both layout and content, and I was impressed with the research he did in order to achieve my desired goals. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dallas to anyone looking for web design.
